Jason holds a Bachelor of Science from Bellevue University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Prior to joining Leading Light, Jason served as a Mental Health Practitioner and Substance Abuse Counselor at Nebraska Medicine Department of Psychiatry. In this role, he primarily worked in the General Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Clinic, providing a wide range of services to individuals struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.
Throughout his career, Jason has gained valuable experience working with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing severe mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and substance abuse problems. His experience extends to providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services.
Jason specializes in treating various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. He is also skilled in addressing substance abuse issues, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients overcome addiction and improve their overall well-being.
