Megan Polm is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PMHP, PMSW) with experience in counseling individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. Megan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Fordham University and her Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University. Megan’s experience in both mental health and social work fields has developed her holistic approach to mental health care and client wellbeing.
Megan’s therapeutic approach includes a blend of both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Utilizing both of these frameworks allows her to assist clients in building tools to cope. As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, Megan also focuses on a client’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs to acknowledge the unique differences in each individual. Considering all parts of a client’s life allows her to help clients gain insight into their own needs and strengths.
Megan’s experience has developed into a special interest in helping adults facing stress from life transitions, whether that be from work, relationships, or parenthood. Backed by evidence-based training in both Trauma-Focused CBT and Perinatal Mental Health, she walks with clients on their journey to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and strengthen their sense of self.
In therapy with Megan, you will experience a calm, safe environment to discuss your stressors at your own pace. She helps individuals find their source of strength and pathway to healing. Megan’s clinical skills enable her to provide compassionate and effective support to foster your growth and well-being.
